The year 2000 was hailed as the year of the Internet.
The cyber gurus have promised that; this was the year
that we have been waiting for, and yes, this is the year
where all our past efforts will bear fruit, just by being
connected to the Net! 

Many Internet entrepreneurs, and
that includes, among the myriad others, artists, who
simply got on seeking all the promised riches, only to be
dismayed and disillusioned. We have witnessed, often,
the tumbling fortunes of the high and mighty on the
NASDAQ and the DOW-JONES, where the acid test of
free market is applied to all, with Internet stocks taking
one hammering after another. What went wrong? And
why there is so much trouble in what everyone thought
is a fantastic new world phenomenon? Was the Internet
just a technical fad that will blow over soon, leaving a lot
of disappointments broken promises? 

You will be sadly mistaken if you thought this to be true; 
for I am a firm believer that this is, arguably, the single 
greatest human communication achievement 
accomplished… ever!

What ails this great system is the unrealistic expectations
on the part of the everyday user, and many forget what is
the Net all about. It is a tool, to put it in simple words. Think,
for a moment, that Just having that great new set of
paints and brushes will create masterpieces for you, no
artist or otherwise will take that seriously, sure it will be a
very good help, but it is only a tool, the hard yards still
have to be done and it is a gradual and slow process to
get what you want. Sadly many have already opted out
and joined those who have fallen by the wayside, victims
to their lost faith in the Internet, and I know quite a few.

But we are still here and getting stronger and better, by the
day, simply because we are practical and have no illusions
about what can be achieved, and we don’t sit on our laurels
waiting for things to happen either, you should be the same
too, and by becoming a go getter, the world surely, will be

your oyster, so set no limit !!!
