Here..... to success !

Hooray...it is already year 2000 and all is well !
The dreaded y2k monster bug has not materialised as yet,
time ticks over in its eternal fashion paying no attention to
all the cyber gurus with their doom and gloom message of
calamity. The new year ushers in a fresh feeling of hope
and brings with it a new vigour of renewal  and growth.
So it is time to step back a little and take some stock.

It is important to look back on the yesteryear and do some
mental  calculations in regard to where you have been and
where you are going, what you have achieved and what
you hope to achieve, are you satisfied where you are, or
change is in the air?

Whatever your answers might be,
it is an important process, self assessment is one of the
ways to improvement and self discovery, that is a sure
path to spiritual and material fulfilment. As an artist, take a
deep breath and ask yourself  "what have I done to bring
my artistic expression to fruition and what have I done to
communicate my gift of art to my fellow humans, artists
and none artist alike ?

what did I do to further my artistic
career? what is my vision for the year ahead and beyond?"
It is vital to follow a method of systematic self evaluation
in order not to loose direction. Success doesn't materialise
out of thin air, but it is rather achieved through a process
that takes you along a certain road to certain goals. For
to you succeed in your artistic endeavours, you need to
have commitment, planning and focus. These three magic
ingredients actually contain no magic at all !  So set goals
to yourself, then commit yourself totally to achieving these
set goals through a well defined and reasonably realistic
plan and maintain a firm focus on all stages of progress
of such plan, with frequent correction and the occasional
self pat on the back for those well done spots, you CAN
make it.... for sure.

Another factor might be of great assistance is feedback.
With the world getting smaller and smaller by the minute,
it is no longer possible to be an island unto yourself, so seek
that diverse audience to get that all important response.
The internet is an ideal place to venture out, if it is difficult
getting an art gallery to host an exhibition of your artwork,
join an art webring or an online marketing and exhibition
venture, like our www.oz-artfocus.com  it all helps!
you are an integral part of the cosmos, so be an active part,
look inwardly in your soul and outwardly to the world, take a
leap from where you are to where you want to be, chart
the link between your yesterday and your tomorrow, art
is life and life is art ....so, here.... to success !
and let us come alive!
